Patricia ‘Patti’ Inaugurato
for 1st Ward Council
Patti Inaugurato has been a Belleville resident for 45 years. As a dedicated homeowner and taxpayer, Patti has woven herself into the fabric of the town’s social and civic life. She shares her journey with her husband, Nicky Inaugurato, who is a former member of the Silver Lake Civic Association. Patti raised three sons who proudly emerged from the Belleville School System, exemplifying her commitment to the local educational landscape. Together, Patti and her husband are very active with their four grandchildren.
In her professional career, Patti served as the Administrative Secretary to the Chief of the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, a role where her organizational skills and dedication were paramount.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Patti is deeply engaged in various community initiatives. She held the position of President at Northwest Essex Community Healthcare, demonstrating her leadership abilities and commitment to community well-being. She currently imparts her knowledge and values as a CCD Teacher at St. Anthony’s Church in Silver Lake and contributes her financial acumen as a member of St. Anthony’s Finance Council. Her past involvement as a Home School Association member at #3 School and as a member of the BHS Crew Association underscores her dedication to enhancing the educational and extracurricular experiences of Belleville’s youth. Patti also tirelessly volunteers for the Mayor Michael Melham Civic Association, further illustrating her passion for community service.
With a wealth of experience in governance, Patti has served the community in various elected capacities. She has been a trusted member of the Board of Education, where she held the positions of Trustee, Vice-President, and President, demonstrating her ability to lead with integrity and vision.

Currently serving as the Chairwoman of the Belleville Planning Board, with prior experience as Vice Chairwoman, Patti brings over two decades of insight and dedication to this crucial role. Victor ‘Vic’ Mesce
for 2nd Ward Council
Victor Mesce is a true Belleville native, calling Belleville home for over 50 years. As a committed homeowner and taxpayer, Vic understands the values and needs of his community. Married to Jance Petrucci Frazzano Mesce, a lifelong Belleville resident, they proudly raised four children and have welcomed three stepchildren into their family.
With a degree in Finance from Fordham University, he has worked at both Chase Bank and Citibank. However, it was his profound sense of duty and service that led him to join the Belleville Police Department. Rising through the ranks from Sergeant to Lieutenant, Vic’s leadership qualities and dedication were unmistakable, culminating in his retirement as a Police Captain. His tenure saw him undergo specialized training in Homeland Security, SWAT Team Commander and as the Essex County Rapid Deployment Team Platoon leader.
Even in his current role as a Belleville School Security Officer, Vic remains steadfast in his commitment to safeguarding the well-being of Belleville’s residents, especially its youth. Looking forward, he wants to make sure our First Responders—our police, fire department, along with our DPW—are fully supported with the best training and equipment. He believes in working closely with the Board of Education to give our kids the best. And when it comes to taxes, Vic will support local businesses while working to keep our budget stable as we continue to enhance our programs, services, and facilities. Moreover, Vic aims to enhance Senior Services, recognizing the invaluable role seniors play in shaping Belleville’s identity.

Diana Guardabasco

Diana’s involvement in various Home & School Associations showcases her proactive approach to community building. From serving on the #10 School HSA Executive Board to holding positions like Past President of the Belleville Middle School HSA and Belleville High School HSA, she has demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills. Additionally, her roles as Vice President of the Consolidated HSA and Past Recording Secretary of the #5 School HSA underscore her commitment to fostering collaborative relationships within the community.
With a passion for youth sports, Diana has left her mark as a leader in this arena. As President of the Belleville Jr Bucs and Belleville High School Softball Parents, she has championed the development and success of young athletes. Her involvement in organizations like the Belleville Varsity Club, Belleville Athletic Council, and as a current member of Belleville Little League Executive Board for the past 12 years further illustrates her dedication to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among Belleville’s youth.
